The Department of Health Sciences offers several opportunities for students to strengthen their research and writing skills and explore topics in health policy & management beyond the classroom.

Research For Academic Credit

HPM 395 & HPM 396: Research

These courses serve as an undergraduate research
project under the guidance of a faculty member for 1-3 credit hours.

HPM 490 & HPM 491: Independent Study

Independent studies provide students the opportunity to explore a topic in health policy and management. A schedule of assigned readings and major paper/project are agreed upon with the faculty member.

Contact one of the department’s faculty members to explore the opportunity for work study and departmental funding for research assistant positions.

Undergraduate Research Grants

Applications for undergraduate grants are due on a quarterly basis. Individual and group awards available ranging from $500-$2,500. Learn more & Apply.
