Dr. Tabitha Addy has published research (see here) in the International Breastfeeding Journal titled “The Role of Support on Breastfeeding Duration and Exclusivity Among African Migrant Women in the United States.” Her work examines how information sources and support networks shape breastfeeding practices among African migrant women, offering guidance for more culturally responsive support in maternal and child health.

Dr. Bob Hackey and health policy and management major Chloe Johnson ’26 co-authored an op-ed in RI Current (see here) titled “A new medical school won’t cure R.I.’s primary care shortage. Here’s a better idea.” Their piece adds an important faculty–student voice to ongoing conversations about Rhode Island’s health workforce needs.

Dr. Todd Olszewski has co-authored a new article with colleagues outside the College, now available online (see here) ahead of print in the Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences. This publication reflects his continued work at the intersection of health sciences and the history of medicine

Dr. Tuba Agartan published Universal Health Coverage: Foundations and Horizons with Policy Press in 2025 . This book traces the origins of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the broader context of universalism since the beginning of the 20th century.
