Each year, a number of graduates from the department of health sciences opt to pursue careers as caregivers after graduating from PC. Some students opt to complete the College’s premed curriculum to prepare themselves for admission to medical school, dental school, or post-graduate nursing programs. An undergraduate degree in health policy & management or health sciences from PC can provide an excellent background for individuals who seek positions as nurse managers, physician executives, or others interested in how government policies, health care reimbursement, and other issues will affect their clinical practice.

Students interested in applying to graduate programs in medicine and healthcare professions are encouraged to talk with Morgan Rayner, the Health Professions Advisor, to plan for appropriate coursework in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and statistics that may be required for admission.
